An Aerospace client approached Bravo Team with a need for design support on a custom shot peening system. While the customer had deep domain knowledge of shot peening processes, they required additional engineering bandwidth to accelerate development and integrate a shot recovery floor into the system.
Objectives
Design a complete shot peening machine and enclosure.
Integrate a shot recovery floor capable of recirculating peening media.
Develop a dust recovery system to manage debris from various peening materials including steel, walnut, and glass.

Bravo Team designed and delivered a fully integrated shot peening enclosure featuring a dynamic shot recovery floor. The floor system sweeps peening media back into the machine, while a custom dust recovery system vacuums and filters debris for reuse. The design supports multiple media types and improves fatigue properties by introducing residual stresses in treated surfaces.
