Bio
Colby studied at the University of New Haven, where he earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Mechatronics. During college, he worked with Collins Aerospace to test the limits of metal 3D printing at the time. Since graduating, he started his career as a Civil Inspections Engineer, where he climbed, photographed, and analyzed the safety of telephone towers up to 555ft tall. From there, he moved on to his passion for designing complex machinery and product development with a heavy focus on research and development.

Contributing to early metal additive manufacturing research with Collins Aerospace and continuing to apply that research-driven mindset to complex machinery and product development.
