Bio
Mackay studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he graduated as a magna cum laude with dual honors and a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. He is also in
pursuit of both a masters degree in Applied Energy and Electromechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineering license. Mackay spent the earlier part of his career developing small
scale recycling systems that turned the plastic waste of his community into products for his community. In addition to professional and academic activities, Mackay enjoys rock climbing, camping, hiking, and road cycling.
