Bio
Matt earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in both North Carolina and South Carolina (Machine Design and Materials).
Matt spent over 15 years in industry performing a wide variety of mechanical design work on products like heavy industrial material handling and processing equipment, over the road service equipment, mobile electric power generation, and commercial fry cooking equipment. Through these experiences he gained valuable design experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheet metal, plates & weldments, piping system design, Stage-Gate process product development, over the road equipment requirements, power wiring, harness design, lighting technology & applications, ANSI (ANSI A92, NSF/ANSI 51, ANSI Z83.11) & ISO (16368) product development standards, CSA (C22.2 No. 109-17) product development standards, NFPA 70, user interface design for cooking controls, wind load drag and stability analysis, and R&D test plan & schedule development.
Greatest Accomplishments
Earning my professional engineering license was an excellent experience and required much hard work and due diligence. I’m very excited to have earned my license and always look forward to being able to apply the skill set I’ve developed over the years as an engineer.
